કરગ્રે વસતે લક્ષ્મીઃ કરમધ્યે સરસ્વતી |
કરમૂલે સ્થિતો બ્રહ્મા પ્રભાતે કરદર્શનમ્ ||
Meaning
"On the tip of the fingers dwells Goddess Lakshmi; at the base of the fingers dwells Goddess Saraswati; in the middle of the hands resides Lord Brahma. Therefore, one should look at their hands in the early morning."
